Terms of Service

1. Fair experiments, not scientific proof

PsychicTrainer offers experiments — including symbol and dice prediction, a willpower game, and remote-viewing exercises — that are designed to be fair, robust, and repeatable. Every outcome is generated by secure, cryptographically random processes on our servers only after you have committed your prediction, so a result cannot be known in advance or manipulated. Your performance is measured honestly against the mathematical chance baseline for each experiment using standard statistical methods, so the scores, percentiles, and significance figures we display reflect your actual results.

At the same time, the Service is a self-directed tool used over the open internet under conditions we do not supervise or control. It is not a controlled laboratory study, a peer-reviewed protocol, or a clinical or diagnostic instrument. Accordingly, results from the Service should not be presented, published, or relied upon as scientific proof or validation of psychic, paranormal, or extrasensory abilities, nor used as the basis for any medical, financial, legal, or other important decision. We take no position on whether such abilities exist — we provide a fair, transparent, and honest way for you to explore and train your intuition and judge the results for yourself.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and guest play

You may use much of the Service as a guest. To save progress across devices and appear on leaderboards, you can create an account using a passwordless “magic link” sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to choose a username that is not offensive, misleading, infringing, or impersonating.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• attempt to manipulate, automate, scrape, reverse-engineer, or game results, leaderboards, or statistics;
• upload, draw, type, or submit content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable (including in sketches, notes, usernames, and custom targets);
• disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorized access; or
• infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create on the Service, such as drawings, notes, custom targets, and usernames (“User Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your User Content as necessary to operate and provide the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it.

Some features let you generate shareable images, videos, or session links. If you share a session link, the contents of that session (including your sketches, notes, and the revealed target) may be viewable by anyone who has the link. Do not include sensitive or private information in content you intend to share.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including authentication and database hosting (Supabase), analytics (Google Analytics), and mapping/imagery (Google Maps and Street View). Your use of features powered by these providers may be subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software (excluding User Content), is owned by PsychicTrainer or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY RESULTS OR CONTENT ARE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PSYCHICTRAINER AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PsychicTrainer and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of PsychicTrainer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
